Services
Here you can find the different services that we provide at our monthly clinic.
Registration
Registration is where patients check in for the clinic. During registration, volunteers gather demographic information to create the patient's MRN file. This file also includes medical history as well as any current health concerns. These files allow the clinic to have some background information on the patient as well as to have a file on record for their next visit.

Lab & Triage
In triage, medically certified volunteers assess patients’ vital signs while recording their medical history and chief complaints. At the lab, patients are offered a variety of tests including blood glucose, HbA1C, pregnancy tests, urinalysis, and COVID tests. After the lab results are documented on the chart, they are directed toward provider care.

Provider Rooms
Provider rooms are where patients typically receive a physical exam and discuss their health concerns with the provider. The provider may also review the patient's medical history with the purpose of providing preventative care and addressing any current health issues. The volunteers have the opportunity to shadow, scribe, and translate depending on their Spanish-speaking capabilities.
Pharmacy
The pharmacy manages and distributes drugs based on the prescriptions given to the patients by the providers. As a volunteer, you will count out prescriptions, look up drug interactions, and help organize drugs based on their drug category. With over 400 different medications, the organization within the pharmacy is key.

Public Health
Public health serves as a way to inform our patients about a variety of topics related to public health. The volunteers present on a different topic each week with visual aids to help illustrate ther points. Depending on the topic for the monthly clinic, different supplies is given out to our patients.

Dental
In dental, patients recieve dental care treatment from a dental provider. Based on the patient's needs, dental can provide oral examinations, teeth cleaning, restorative procedures, and sometimes oral surgery. Volunteers have the opportunity to shadow the providers as well as interpret depending on their Spanish speaking capabilities.
